Biography

"THIS" is the work of singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer Austin Atiyeh. Although there are many artists who have collaborated and continue to collaborate with THIS, Atiyeh remains its only official member, and the sole influence on its direction. He has self-released an independent album entitled "Hunab Ku" (after a Mayan symbol meaning "Galactic Consciousness").


Atiyeh plays concerts throughout the Central Coast both acoustically and with a rotating ensemble of backup musicians. He hopes, eventually, to tour throughout the country, and to produce a larger recording portfolio with a greater number of artists. So far, he has shared the stage with bands like Sugarcult, Lefty, Port O'Brien, and Matt White, and his music has been acclaimed by musicians such as Matmos (Bjork), Slash, Papa Roach, and Home Grown.
